The Challenge We're Addressing:

In today's digital world, smartphones, tablets, and other electronic devices are everywhere. While they offer incredible benefits, excessive use can lead to challenges in regulating screen time, especially for students. This can negatively affect their academic focus, real-world social interactions, and overall well-being.

Our Mission: Fostering Self-Awareness and Healthy Digital Habits
Project's main goal is to empower secondary school students (Form 1 & 2) with the self-awareness needed to understand and control their gadget use.  We believe that by educating them on the potential impacts of addiction – sociologically, physically, and psychologically – we can inspire positive change.

How We're Making an Impact in the Pudu District Community:
Through a dynamic and engaging approach, we've reached 180 secondary school students aged 14-16.  Our program includes:

  1. Insightful Awareness Talks: Led by experts in counseling and psychology, these sessions shed light on digital awareness and the realities of gadget addiction.
  2. Interactive Focus Group Discussions: Providing a platform for students to share their experiences and learn from one another.
  3. Practical Strategies: Equipping students with actionable techniques to manage screen time effectively and overcome dependency on gadgets.

Building a More Balanced and Knowledgeable Society:
Project IGNITE is more than just an awareness campaign; it's a commitment to digital wellness.  We are fostering an environment where students can make informed choices, leading to a healthier, more engaged, and knowledgeable community.  The success of this initiative has also sparked interest from school management for future digital awareness programs, ensuring a continued positive impact on upcoming generations.
