Projek EZRA: Modul Tambahan STEM melalui Pengaturcaraan, Robotik, dan Penerokaan Alam is a successful initiative that was carried out at five secondary schools across Malaysia. This project aimed to enhance the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education experience for students by introducing them to programming, robotics, and environmental exploration. The project involved 30 students at each of the five participating schools, and it encompassed various key activities and learning outcomes.
Students at these schools were exposed to valuable STEM skills, including the operation of 3D printers, and programming the Arduino microprocessor. These skills were imparted through hands-on learning experiences, enabling students to gain practical knowledge in these critical technological areas.
One of the highlight outcomes of the project was the fabrication of a mini aquaponics system. Students used their newly acquired skills to design and create this system, which included the integration of temperature and humidity sensors. These sensors provided real-time data, which was displayed on an LCD screen attached to the microprocessor board. This feature allowed students to monitor and analyze environmental conditions within the aquaponics system, enhancing their understanding of biology and environmental science.
Overall, Projek EZRA served as a valuable addition to the STEM curriculum in these secondary schools. It not only equipped students with practical skills in programming and technology but also fostered an appreciation for environmental exploration and sustainable practices through the aquaponics project. The successful execution of this project underscores its potential to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem solvers in the fields of science and technology.
