UMCares Tier 1 Projects: Empowering Communities Through Flagship Initiatives
At UMCares, we are dedicated to driving community empowerment through impactful initiatives. Our Tier 1 Projects focus on sustainable development, education, and social well-being, working in collaboration with key stakeholders, including Members of Parliament (MPs).
We are currently managing 22 flagship projects under Tier 1, all designed to create lasting change. These projects include:
UM Flagship Projects
14 projects actively running to address various community needs.
Supported by 21 Members of Parliament, ensuring policy alignment and advocacy.
UNI@Madani Projects
4 projects focused on university-led community initiatives.
Backed by 4 Members of Parliament, strengthening partnerships between academia and governance.
Santuni Madani / 1 Uni 1 Kampung / Kampung Angkat Madani
3 new projects set to launch, aimed at fostering deeper community engagement.
Supported by 1 Member of Parliament, reflecting localized impact.
Sejati Madani (Titiwangsa) Project
1 upcoming project, currently under discussion for execution.
Potential collaboration with 1 Member of Parliament, focusing on targeted development efforts.

At UMCares, we are committed to fostering academic excellence and community service through our Tier 2 & 3 Projects. These initiatives provide funding and support to drive knowledge transfer and impactful community programs, engaging academics, students, and policymakers to create sustainable change.
Tier 2: Knowledge Transfer Projects
Our Tier 2 projects focus on academic-driven initiatives, ensuring the effective transfer of knowledge from universities to the community. Key details include:
✅ Open to Academic PTj (Academic Responsibility Centers)
✅ RM 10,000 funding per PTj
✅ Requires participation of at least 2 Members of Parliament (MPs)
✅ Officially launching in February 2025
✅ Projects must achieve a minimum 3-star rating in MyRA (Malaysia Research Assessment)
Tier 3: Community Service Projects
Designed to encourage student engagement, Tier 3 projects focus on community services in collaboration with residential colleges. Highlights include:
✅ Open to residential colleges
✅ RM 10,000 funding per Residential College (RC)
✅ Requires at least 2 MPs’ involvement
✅ Launching in February 2025
✅ Projects must secure a minimum 2-star rating in MyRA
