Enhancing Public Service through Openness and Consultation with the Asnaf Community

Project Assessment (3-Star Level)

(Reflecting high positive community impact & engagement)

Executive Summary

The Publicizing Public Service (PPS) project aimed to enhance customer satisfaction by localizing services and inculcating values of openness and consultative programs, as prescribed in the Public Service Circular No. 1 Year 2015. Focusing on the Asnaf community  in PPR Seri Pantai, the project addressed issues related to Zakah application and distribution, including delays and difficulties in allocation, and the AC's perception, attitude, and lack of information on Zakah channels provided by MAIWP (Federal Territory of Islamic Religious Council).

The project utilized two core modules: a series of Islamic Talks  for Asnaf Self-Development (ASD) under the theme 'Sayangi Diri, Syukuri Ilahi', and Face-to-Face Consultations (F2FC) with the Asnaf and stakeholders. The outcome included increased AC understanding of Zakah application, improved soft skills in financial and life stress management according to Islamic values, and overall satisfaction with the talks and MAIWP's communication channels.
