Significant challenge in Selangor’s B40 communities due to poor health literacy among community members and primary healthcare providers.
Compounded health system barriers limit timely access to education, screening, and navigation, delaying detection and worsening outcomes.
Lack of multidisciplinary integrated implementation platforms for effective cancer control across Malaysia.
Increase cancer health literacy among the B40 community members in Selangor to promote early self-referral.
Enhance literacy and skills of healthcare providers (doctors and nurses) within the early diagnosis ecosystem.
Train community leaders and NGOs to provide superior navigation and psychosocial support for cancer patients.
A 10-week virtual course for general practitioners. Covers breast, colorectal, lung, cervical, and prostate cancers, including modules on psychosocial care and patient navigation.
