Bridging University & Society

The UM Community Flagship Grant (Perdana Komuniti@UM) aims to benefit the community using outputs from Universiti Malaya's research. It is an initiative by the UM Community Engagement Centre (UMCares) serving as a one-stop centre for social change.

  • Guided by the 10-10 MySTIE Framework and 12th Malaysia Plan.
  • Implements UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Core Application Criteria

1

Open to UM Academic Staff

Professors, Associate Professors, Senior Lecturers & Lecturers (Permanent or Contract active for min. 12 months).

Interdisciplinary Research

Must involve at least two (2) academic disciplines and a minimum of two (2) co-researchers.

3

Knowledge Transfer Activities

Each project must execute a minimum of three (3) knowledge/technology/skill transfer activities with the community.
