The **CAKnA Program** (Citra Akademik untuk Komuniti dan Alam) is a special Universiti Malaya initiative fostering dynamic collaboration within Academic Responsibility Centres (PTj). It brings together academic staff, administration, and students to solve societal and campus issues through innovation.
Ensure systematic recording, evaluation, and sharing of project results at the university level.
Increase involvement of Academic PTjs in executing initiatives that resolve community problems.
Integrate direct learning with real-life experiences to nurture student soft skills and resilience.
Unite students and staff to contribute expertise for positive social and environmental impact.
Led by UM Lecturers (Senior/Assoc/Prof) with permanent or active contract status.
Must involve Academic Staff, Administrative Staff, and Students in a collaborative effort.
Addresses real, current community or campus issues based on the leader's academic expertise.
Science & Tech: RM 20,000 | Non-Science & Tech: RM 5,000 - RM 10,000.
Ensure all proposals meet the Tier 2 criteria for CAKnA. Applications are subject to current financial availability and UMCares panel evaluation.
Financial support amounts are subject to the Penilai Committee's recommendation.
