Empowering the Homeless through Construction Skills

The U2u program provides theoretical and practical knowledge in plumbing to the homeless community, creating sustainable employment opportunities in the construction industry.

The Objective

To develop and implement a specialized "Module Ketukangan Pembinaan" focused on internal plumbing. This trade was selected because it is cost-effective, time-efficient for repairs, and ensures high-quality outcomes, making it ideal for the homeless community to gain immediate income.

The Strategic Impact

By collaborating with CIDB and Akademi Binaan Malaysia, participants received professional certification and sets of basic tools. This empowers them to work independently in maintenance or join the construction industry, effectively reducing urban poverty and social exclusion.

Plumbing Mastery Practical training in PVC, HDPE, Copper, and Galvanised Iron pipe installations.

Professional Certification Participants received certificates of achievement from CIDB and Akademi Binaan Malaysia.

Professional Toolsets Each graduate was provided with a vest and a set of basic plumbing tools to start work immediately.
