The Objective

To analyze electricity consumption in existing school buildings and implement energy-saving attitudes and technologies. By bridging the gap in knowledge among teachers and students, the project aims to reduce monthly electricity bills, allowing savings to be diverted to more beneficial educational purposes.

Community Engagement

Through the "Program Sekolahku Universitiku," UM collaborated with five schools including SK Kg Selayang and SMK Assunta. Engagement was maintained despite MCO constraints via online surveys, video demonstrations, and virtual awareness sessions reaching over 1,200 participants.

Energy Awareness Module Development of educational videos, posters, and presentation slides on renewable energy and saving technologies.

Simulation Tool Created a simulation tool for optimisation of electricity consumption usage specifically for school building layouts.

Research Publication Published research in the International Journal of Renewable Energy Research (IJRER) on secondary school awareness.
