Scaling Impact: 17 Tier 1 Projects Across 44 Parliamentary Constituencies
In March 2025, 178 Tier 1 community engagement projects were actively implemented, reaching communities in 44 parliamentary constituencies nationwide. These initiatives, led by faculties, research centres, and students, address pressing issues ranging from education and health awareness to environmental sustainability and digital literacy. Each project is designed not only to serve local communities but also to offer real-world experiential learning for students—building leadership, empathy, and civic responsibility.
CAKnA Tier 2: Deepening Community Collaboration
Meanwhile, CAKnA, UM Cares’ Tier 2 program has begun scaling deeper collaborations with targeted communities. These initiatives are more intensive and sustainable, emphasizing co-creation and capacity building. March saw the expansion of CAKnA in both urban and rural areas, laying the groundwork for long-term transformation and more inclusive development outcomes.
