Goal: To serve as a strategic initiative to strengthen UM’s role in nation building through community empowerment, aligning with the Penta Helix Model.

• Bridges university expertise with community needs for social impact.
• Empowers local communities (education, digital literacy, entrepreneurship).
• Encourages student civic engagement, fostering leadership and empathy.
• Strengthens UM’s visibility and commitment to MADANI values.

UMCares@Sabah Initiative

Focus: Strategic planning for high-impact community projects under the **Sejati Madani 2025 Fund** in collaboration with government and community leaders.

Key Collaborations:

• Strategic meeting with YB Jonathan Yassin and Village Head of Kg Kimulu.
• Planning eco-tourism, health, and digital economy initiatives.
• Partnership with Sabah Department of National Unity (JPS) to implement the **Tuninipot Project**.
• Aim to make Sabah a national icon of unity through rural development.
