The UMCares@Babagon, Penampang program was held on Thursday, 16 October 2025, at Kampung Babagon, Penampang, Sabah. The community engagement focused on a **bead crafting (gubahan manik)** activity involving local women and youth, fostering creativity and cultural appreciation through hands-on participation.

The session encouraged social interaction and skill-sharing within the community while highlighting traditional craftsmanship as a meaningful avenue for empowerment and sustainable livelihood. The initiative reflected UMCares’ ongoing efforts to promote creativity, inclusivity, and community development in rural Sabah.

The Majlis Perasmian UMCares@Sepanggar was held on Saturday, 18 October 2025, marking the official launch of UMCares’ community engagement initiative in the Sepanggar area. The event was graced by YB Mustapha Sakmud, Deputy Minister of Higher Education.

A variety of interactive competitions were organized, including Bead Crafting, Ratu Cantik, Peragaan Pakaian Kanak-kanak, and Penglipur Lara: Penceritaan Gubahan Bunga. These activities aimed to celebrate local creativity, cultural heritage, and community spirit while encouraging participation across generations. The program reflects UMCares’ mission to strengthen social engagement and nurture sustainable community development.

The Konvensyen Suara Guru Malaysia 2025 was held on 31 October and 1 November 2025, organized in collaboration between Universiti Malaya (UMCares), NUTP, and KPM. The convention served as a national platform for educators, policymakers, and union representatives to share insights and aspirations in advancing Malaysia’s education landscape.

The event was officiated and attended by YB Fadhlina Sidek, Minister of Education, whose presence highlighted the government’s commitment to empowering teachers as agents of educational reform. The convention strengthened collaboration among key stakeholders, reinforcing the collective vision of enhancing teacher professionalism and the future of Malaysian education.
