August 2025: A Month of Impact

August was filled with impactful community engagements, strategic planning sessions, and pedagogical workshops aimed at empowerment and sustainability.

UMCares@Sandakan: Tadika Yayasan Ikhlas

The program served as the first engagement under UMCares@Sandakan. The activity focused on early childhood creativity with a **'Gubahan Manik' (bead crafting)** session, successfully improving fine motor coordination and concentration for preschoolers.

UMCares@Sandakan: Community Program at Pulau Jampiras

This initiative reaffirmed UMCares’ commitment to reaching **remote and island-based communities**. The activity centered on creative skill-building, empowering participants—especially women and youth—through skill-based learning and participatory dialogue.

Strategic Planning: KPI & Sustainability Workshop

A workshop on **"Pemerkasaan KPI & Kelestarian Program Komuniti UMCares"** focused on setting the strategic direction for 2025 and outlining long-term targets for 2026. Chaired by Prof. Dr. Yahaya Ahmad, the session emphasized program innovation, impact measurement, and community empowerment.
